Contenido: This course covers the theoretical and practical fundamentals of Time-Domain Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (TD-NMR), a widely used technique for fast, non-destructive, and sensitive analysis of material properties. Topics include nuclear spin behavior in magnetic fields, relaxation mechanisms, and signal acquisition (FID, CPMG, IR, Spin Echo, MSE), as well as an overview of low-field instrumentation and its differences from high-field systems. Key experimental parameters, such as T₁ and T₂ relaxation times, pulse sequences, and data acquisition strategies, will be discussed, along with fundamental approaches to data processing and interpretation, including Inverse Laplace Transform (ILT) and fitting methods. The objective of the course is to enable participants to understand TD-NMR principles, select appropriate methods, process data, and interpret results for research and practical applications.

Sobre el ponente: He holds a bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree (2016) in Applied Physics from the São Carlos Institute of Physics - University of São Paulo. He completed a BEPE-FAPESP internship between (2014-2015) at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at IFSC-USP in partnership with CENPES/Petrobras. He was a Substitute Professor in the Department of Physics at UFSCar (2017-2019) and at UNESP (Araraquara/SP), and later an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Exact Sciences at UFMG, Belo Horizonte/MG (2020-2022). Currently, he is a Professor at the Luiz de Queiroz Higher School of Agriculture (ESALQ), University of São Paulo (USP), Piracicaba/SP campus (2022-present). He is a CNPq (Brazilian Government) Research Productivity Fellow - PQC in the area of "Agricultural Engineering". His expertise lies in the development of new techniques, instrumentation, data processing, and applications of optical and magnetic resonance spectroscopies for the study of biological systems and applications in the agricultural/agro-industrial and environmental sectors.
